Be Encouraged, Pastor! – August 9, 2026
2 Timothy 2:2 ESV
"...and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
How many generations of disciples does Paul refer to in this verse? It all starts with you (1). What you heard, you will give away to those who hear you (2), who will entrust it to another faithful person (3), who will be able to teach it to others (4)! Be encouraged every day as you pass what you know in Christ to another person and start the process!
Be Encouraged, Pastor!
In Mark 8:21, after teaching them, Jesus looks and listens to those he leads and asks a question: “Do you not yet understand?”
Today, remember those who walked with Jesus didn’t understand. So don’t get discouraged when your folks look at you and question things they should know and understand!
Jesus kept teaching and leading, and so must you! Not out of compulsion, but out of conviction.
But remember this as well – they continued to follow even when it didn’t make sense!
