Be Encouraged, Pastor! - December 21, 2025

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” ‭

2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We are new creations in Christ. He has reconciled us to Himself. Now this is the Good News that we proclaim this Christmas season as well as all the time! Merry Christmas!

Be Encouraged, Pastor!

“Peace on earth, good will to men.”

On this Sunday before Christmas, when we see that verse, we think of the product many times and not the person. Fixing the world. It means that everything is made OK. That’s the context most have when they think of peace on earth! However, the person of peace, Jesus Christ, was the peace on earth.

In Mark 4:39 the person of peace commanded peace to overcome circumstances, “peace, be still,” and in Luke 4:35 the person of peace commanded, “hold your peace!” Peace silenced the commotion and chaos.

I think maybe all of us need the person of peace to be in charge of our circumstances in the chaos this Christmas!

May we be centered this Christmas in the person of peace, and not simply wish for the circumstances of peace!

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
