Be Encouraged, Pastor! - October 5, 2025

Micah 6:6-8 (ESV)

Micah 6:6-8

“With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high?Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with[a] thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness,[b] and to walk humbly with your God?

Nothing matters except what God has told us to do to maintain a good relationship with Him. This is to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him and all is well. This is our only mission today. Enjoy your walk today!

Be Encouraged, Pastor!

Yesterday the ministry hosted The Shepherd’s Wives Conference and we were blessed to have about 25 wives join us in person and via live stream.

This morning the reminder is to bless your wife for she is a gift from God. A large percentage of pastor’s wives are quietly serving and many are struggling, at times not even sharing with you!

As you lead today, start at home with a thank you, a kindness, and some attention. Do it before you expend yourself on the flock!

If you’re not married or a widower, thank God for what you will have or what you did have in a life help-mate!

PastorCare never charges a fee for services. It is a purely faith-based, non-profit 501©3 ministry. PastorCare is supported by donations, gifts and a volunteer network of caregivers and service providers. Retired pastors, missionaries and volunteer lay-persons encourage and assist pastors and their families who contact PastorCare. Our goal is to meet the need and revitalize God’s ministering servants to continue the call to serve.

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
