Be Encouraged, Pastor! - August 10, 2025

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As I serve the Lord today, Let my focus and my trust be in God's ways and understanding which leads to peace and all that comes with it, and less and less in my ways which seem to never achieve their goal.

‘and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.’  Luke 24:52b-53

Two words to ponder: Joy & Continually.

This morning we are ‘returning’ to our Jerusalem. Are we headed there with great joy. Circumstances may interfere with ours this morning, but we aren’t bound by them!

Continually before God with praises and blessing Him. Blessing carries the meaning of kneeling before him.

If we aren’t doing the second two, we probably aren’t experiencing the first!

Are we ready? Amen!!!!!!

PastorCare never charges a fee for services. It is a purely faith-based, non-profit 501©3 ministry. PastorCare is supported by donations, gifts and a volunteer network of caregivers and service providers. Retired pastors, missionaries and volunteer lay-persons encourage and assist pastors and their families who contact PastorCare. Our goal is to meet the need and revitalize God’s ministering servants to continue the call to serve.

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
