Be Encouraged, Pastor! - August 3, 2025

“He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’” – Luke 11:2-4 NIV

Let’s keep forgiveness in the forefront in all we do as we minister today and this week. May we remember that the way we forgive others demonstrates how we receive forgiveness. This is a very sobering fact that we often forget. Enjoy living in God's wonderful grace!

Be Encouraged, Pastor!

“Be still and know that I am God.”

We’ve seen and probably preached or taught that verse. It would be worthwhile to read the verses just before it. The writer is reminding the reader, God is really really BIG!

He can stop the wars. He can handle those enemies who seem too big for us!

This morning may be a day of struggle, or this may be for you next week!

Let BIG God be “the LORD of hosts is with us and the God of Jacob is your fortress!”

PastorCare never charges a fee for services. It is a purely faith-based, non-profit 501©3 ministry. PastorCare is supported by donations, gifts and a volunteer network of caregivers and service providers. Retired pastors, missionaries and volunteer lay-persons encourage and assist pastors and their families who contact PastorCare. Our goal is to meet the need and revitalize God’s ministering servants to continue the call to serve.

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
