Be Encouraged, Pastor! - June 29, 2025

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? For you created my inner being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭1‬, ‭7‬, ‭13‬-‭14‬, ‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank you, Lord, for loving me; being concerned about me and caring about me so much. Even before I was born you made me with exact precision and caring about every detail. Nothing about me is a mistake!  Everything about me reflects your love!  It never stops!  I am overwhelmed!  I praise your Holy name! May I know you and serve you with that same passion!

In psalms four, David asked the question, “there are many who say, ‘who will show us some good?’”

He goes on to answer his own question, “lift up the light of your face upon us, O LORD!”

As you start your Sunday, there will be many that will fall under the sound of your voice asking the same question because of their week, “Who will show me some good this morning?”

Our prayer needs to be the same as David’s!

The meaning is that there is a reflection of His light upon the face as it turns toward God.

Let them see the light of God when they look at you today!

The high calling and the high light!

PastorCare never charges a fee for services. It is a purely faith-based, non-profit 501©3 ministry. PastorCare is supported by donations, gifts and a volunteer network of caregivers and service providers. Retired pastors, missionaries and volunteer lay-persons encourage and assist pastors and their families who contact PastorCare. Our goal is to meet the need and revitalize God’s ministering servants to continue the call to serve.

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
