Be Encouraged, Pastor! - June 22, 2025

“Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Paul reminds us that there is one thing of first importance and that is to preach the gospel, the same gospel which was preached to each one of us for our salvation. Christ died for our sins. He was buried and on the 3rd day was raised from the dead. This we believe according to God's Word!

Live it, share it and be faithful!

Charles Grantham, in the late 1600s said this, “and verily where the form of godliness is neglected, religion will in little time, either vanish, or become an unknown conceit. Every man feeling liberty to follow what he supposed to be the motions of the spirit of God, in-which is so great a probability of being mistaken.”

My friend, as you serve today, may you stand on the book, preach from the book, and proclaim with holy truth what’s in the book!

The (2014) PCN website was dedicated to the memory of Rev. G. David Korsen, who gave of his expertise, time and passion to create the first PCN website. He served as Communications Director from March of 2009 until his graduation from this life on April 23, 2013. Dave’s caring heart and infectious laugh were the entry to the deep well of God’s grace that flowed through him — the essence of PastorCare.
