Testimonials

'It is through my tears that I will try to express to you what the wonderful staff has meant to me in the last 2 years. They have been my lifeline, pulling me back from the edge, and wrapping me in support when I was about to come apart. I was talking with you at PastorCare, lying beside me on my desk was one of my shotguns, and one shell - that's all it takes. You talked me through the most broken moment in my life and poured into this very empty vessel enough of the love of Christ to lead me to put the gun back in its safe. Over the coming days and weeks you spent untold hours in prayer for me, my wife, and our family. You connected Christian women with my wife to help her cope; and you connected regularly with me. At that time, I had been in ministry 19 years. Never in those years did I experience such love or care. Never had I experienced prayer on so basic and loving a level. You see, I've always been the caregiver. I never allowed myself to be the one being loved. In a very real way, I am here today because of your ministry. Whether I would have pulled the trigger that day, no one will ever know. But, with you help I didn't, and that's what matters.'

"We were serving at a small community church with no support from any outside denomination when our crisis hit. I am so thankful that PastorCare was there for me. The soft voice on your end of the phone comes through like a big hug from God, reassuring me that the Father knows and understands and cares for me and my family. Thank you for all the time and energy you give. Thanks for being there and caring for the hurting pastors and their families."

"We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all your prayers and support on our behalf during this time of transition. What the enemy has meant for evil, God has designed for good. We used to read about churches that experienced a split, never dreaming that it would happen to us. Because of the prayers of the saints, and the wonderful goodness of our Lord, we are experiencing a marvelous healing. PastorCare was there for us; you were so kind to listen and affirm our value. After almost 20 years in ministry, we found ourselves persecuted, without a church, and without an income, having to sell the home we loved, withdrawing our teenage daughter from the Christian school in the middle of her senior year - all changes our family never expected. To compound the stress, our daughter suffered an accident that left her with painful jaw surgery, and my wife was found to have a heart condition that caused our insurance company to revoke her from the policy. Again, thank you. We can't say enough about this ministry to other ministers. Where others do not understand, you do. Where others forget, you don't. When we needed support the most, you were there."

"We want to express appreciation for your concern for us, and making it possible for the dental care so much needed - especially for my wife. The dentist repaired the needed work, and cleaned our teeth as well. This was above and beyond what we expected. Since we are retired and on a fixed income, it was a real blessing. Thanks again for your love, expressed through PastorCare. May God bless you and each one involved in such a tremendous ministry to the pastors and their families."

"Please accept my gratefulness for finding me an opthamologist in my area that would give me an examination and help me with my eyeglasses that were so needed. The Dr. was very gracious and I was so blessed to be ministered to in this way. It is good to know that there are those in the Body of Christ who will reach out to those in ministry. I pray God's greatest blessing on this ministry and those there who give so freely, that we who are in fulltime ministry might have the things we normally could not afford."

"I wish to express my thanks for the efforts you have done on our behalf over the past year or more. I have a very serious cataract in my right eye that needs immediate attention due to its size and complications. And one is obvious and growing on the left eye too, which at the moment is the better eye. The right eye is useless at this point and there is no lens correction strong enough for it. Through your help, payment has been arranged, and a new left lens was installed yesterday and for the first time in months, I am able to drive more safely. Anyone with cataract experience knows what a serious problem cataracts are for driving, reading, and host of other things. I am grateful beyond words.
