On Sunday, April 29 John Gifford, Regional Director for PastorCare Great Plains, turned 65. Also on that day, he read his letter of resignation after 22 years as pastor of Shepherd's Rest Assembly of God church in Norman, Oklahoma. Executive Director of PastorCare, Randy Carter, was on hand to preach on this special occasion sharing from Acts 2 about how to build an "Acts 2" church. John and his wife Marcia, plan to dedicate their full attention now to the ministry of PastorCare, trying to help hurting pastors wherever they can.
